The Middle School Vocal Music Department is dedicated to the development of vocal musicianship, personal character, and team work in the students at Benjamin Logan High School. Our choirs have a tradition of excellence that highlight our talented students and their superior musicianship.
7TH/8TH GRADE CHOIR
The 7th and 8th grade choirs are curricular music ensembles that focus on learning proper singing techniques which include breathing, tone, blend, and intonation. The choirs sing various types of music in class and at concerts throughout the year. They will also continue to develop music reading skills and understanding using musical activities and games rooted in the National Standards of Music areas of Creating, Performing, Responding, and Connecting.

This is a GREAT opportunity for middle schoolers to see what show choir is all about, connect with high school students, and make some lasting memories!

SPRING MUSICAL
Students in 7th and 8th graders are able to audition for the high school musical held in the spring. Middle school students will work alongside and perform with a cast of various students from grades 7 through 12. The musical is a great opportunity for students to refine their musical theater skills as well as develop some lasting friendships. Each year, detailed audition materials will be distributed along with dates for the audition process
