Musical Auditions

Thank you for your interest in this year’s BL musical production! The musical is a winter activity lasting December through March and is open to any students in grades 7 through 12. It is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the many talented students in our schools, strengthen one’s character, and build lasting friendships.

To get started, students and parents are encouraged to read the information packet at the links below or provided at the HS and MS buildings. Then, students will need to prepare for and attend auditions as outlined in this packet. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. We look forward to a fantastic production!

Below is the audition schedule. Please make sure your ride is ready to pick you up following your audition:

For students who are asked for callbacks please report to the choir room after school, Wednesday Dec. 11th:

DAY ONE : SINGING/ACTING/DANCING

Monday, Dec 9 @3:30-4:30p

• Students assigned to this audition day will report to the HS choir room for instructions directly after school

• Students will audition in the order they signed up; times are an estimate 

• When you enter the stage you will say, “Hello. My name is [name] and I am in the [grade]”

• Sing your prepared vocal selection on stage for the judges panel

• Read your acting selection on stage [lead/supporting roles only]

• After students have performed their individual audition, they will learn a short segment of choreography in a group setting

DAY TWO : SINGING/ACTING/DANCING

Tuesday, Dec 10 @3:30-4:30p

• Students assigned to this audition day will report to the HS choir room for instructions directly after school

• Callback list will be posted via musical website by 9p on Dec 10

• Only students on the callback list need to attend
